As of the 2022 season, Carlos Alejandro Alfaro Moreno, president of Barcelona SC, has announced that he will not stand for re-election in the elections to be held on September 2nd.

“I am determined to get my normal, family life back. I don’t forgive myself for some things, even though I’m here because of my wife’s support,” said the former Canaries striker in December last year.

The current yellow holder insisted in various interviews this season that he does not remain in the lead.

But on Friday night, during the introduction of Uruguay coach Diego López, the former player made it known that he had changed his mind.

“We visualize that important things are coming and honestly, I’m saying this on a personal level, I’m extremely motivated by the things that are happening,” the Canarian headline reads.

“I will look at certain issues and I will not see another four years until now. I’m starting to think about situations that excite me, such as the arrival of this professional staff,” added Alfaro Moreno.

In this context, the president of the yellows insisted that the new coaching staff sign a one-year contract. (D)
