It became known about the fivefold reduction in the salary of the former player of Zenit Daler Kuzyaev in the French Le Havre. It is reported by Sport24.
According to the publication, the midfielder will receive about 350 thousand euros a year in the French championship, while the salary of a football player in the St. Petersburg team, according to the Sport Day by Day newspaper, was 1.8 million euros per season.
The transfer of Kuzyaev to Le Havre was announced on July 12. “Daler will bring his talent, experience and technical prowess to our team,” the club said. The agreement with the Russian is designed for two seasons.
In the 2022/2023 season, Kuzyaev played for Zenit St. Petersburg, the contract with which expired at the end of June. The midfielder has been playing for the blue-white-blue since 2017. Together with the team, he became the champion of Russia five times, took the Russian Cup and won the Super Cup twice.
In the 2022/2023 season, Le Havre took first place in the Ligue 2 standings. Thus, the club has risen to the strongest division of the French championship.
