Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek) won the eighth stage of the Tour de Francethis Saturday, July 8, ending in Limoges, ahead of Belgian Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck)who had won the previous three, while the also Danish Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo Visma) is still in yellow in a general with few changes.

Simon Yates (Jayco AlUla) entered alongside Landa and also lost to 47 seconds from the favorites group.

The general classification continues to be led by Jonas Vingegaard and leads Tadej Pogacar by 25 seconds (UAE Emirates). Third is Jai Hindley (BORA-hansgrohe) at one minute and 34 seconds of the leader. Pello Bilbao (Bahrain Victorious) is 12th at 6 minutes and 10 seconds of Vingegaard, while Mikel Landa is 14th, 6 minutes and 36 seconds behind the leader.
