Van Vleuten achieves his third stage win

The Dutch cyclist Annemiek Van Vleuten achieved this Thursday third stage win in the 34th women’s Giro d’Italiathis time in the seventh, between Albenga and Alasio over 109.1 kilometers, with which further increase your advantage in front of the general classification with only two days to go.
Movistar controlled the race until the last port, the arrival at the sanctuary of the Virgen de la Guardia in Alassio, where Van Vleuten was left alone to reach the finish line 13 seconds ahead of the Frenchwoman Juliette Labous (DSM) and 20 over the Italian Gaia Realini (Lidl-Trek).

After this stage, Van Vleuten has in the general 3:56 lead on Labous and 4:25 on Realini.
Mavi García has dropped to seventh place overall at 6:16 and Anne Santesteban (Jayco), until tenth to 9:12.
The Giro d’Italia for this Friday and will resume over the weekend with the last two stages.
