O Manchester United has been looking for a new name to be their goalkeeper next season. The British have been watching Cameroonian André Onana, from Inter Milanfor the position and have already started negotiating for the player.
According to the Sky SportsUnited would have made a proposal of 45 million euros (about R$ 237 million in current quotation) to the Italians for the 27-year-old athlete.
Erik ten Hag, coach of the Manchester team, would be actively participating in the conversations for Onana. The two have already worked together for Ajax and the goalkeeper is a preference for the commander, as he is easy to play with his feet.
The interest in Inter’s number 24 comes shortly after the departure of Spaniard De Gea from the team. The former United holder was negotiating his renewal at the end of June, but ended up not getting right with the direction and ended up leaving the club at no cost.
Despite only being with Inter for one season, Onana has become one of the club’s key players in this period. The goalkeeper participated in 41 matches and helped the team from Mião reach the final of the Champions League.
