Barcelona SC is looking for a goalscorer for the second phase of Liga Pro, and the yellows have set themselves the goal of signing Miguel Parrales, the top scorer of the national tournament and the face of Guayaquil City.
A source close to the footballer confirmed this Tuesday for EL UNIVERSO that the Canaries have shown interest in the citizen footballer.
The informant, who asked that his identity remain confidential, told this newspaper that during the morning Carlos Alfaro Moreno and Hernán Mendoza, respectively the presidents of the Canary Islands and Guayaquil, met to discuss the footballer.
“Barcelona SC I think would be close, although Emelec and Liga de Quito are interested in the striker,” a source told EL UNIVERSO.
The informant believed that the issue of Parrales would be resolved in the next few days, and they marked his departure as “imminent”.
In recent days, Hernán Mendoza, the president of the Citizens, has indicated that Parrales’ goal is to reach 20 points and that his interest is abroad.
He also mentioned that the offer made by Liga de Quito did not meet his expectations.
In addition, the manager publicly expressed his disagreement with the fact that Parrales (thirteen goals) was not invited to the recent friendly matches of the Ecuadorian team. (D)
