Red Star Zvezda beat Zenit 2:1 in the PARI Premier Cup
Crvena Zvezda beat Zenit in the international friendly tournament PARI Premier Cup. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The meeting was held in St. Petersburg and ended with the score 2:1. At the 39th minute, Serbian midfielder Mirko Ivanic hit the opponents’ gate. In the 62nd minute, midfielder Eduardo Queiroz equalized the score, and in the 88th minute, Jean-Philippe Crasso converted a penalty and brought the guests victory.
The PARI Premier Cup runs from July 1st to 15th. Turkish Fenerbahce and Azerbaijani Neftchi also take part in the tournament.
On June 27, it became known that Fenerbahce met the decision to go to the tournament ambiguously. Legionnaires, including the captain of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina Edin Dzeko, opposed participation in the matches because of the political situation in the world and within Russia.
