181.8 kilometers has the route of the fourth stage of the 2023 Tour de Francewhich will start in Daxat 1:20 p.m. of the tuesday july 4ten minutes after the neutralized start has been given, and will end in Nogaro, between 5:12 p.m. and 5:34 p.m..

It will be the first stage of this Tour that does not pass through Euskal Herria, after three days that have provided an unforgettable spectacle for the Basque fans and also for the cyclists. The start of the race has hardly had a truce, and the high mountains will not wait, since it arrives on Wednesday.

The fourth day presents a flat layoutbut anyone who is used to following the Tour de France knows that a stage in the first week of the race, even if it hardly presents any scoring mountainous difficulties, is full of traps, ambushes and sections in which the Tour may not be able to be won. … but yes lose it.

In this case, the fourth stage of the 110th edition of the Tour de France includes a single ascent that scores for the Mountain Grand Prix: it is the Demu Coast, which is located just over 27 kilometers from the finish line. It is a port of 4th category, two kilometers long and with an average gradient of 3.5%. Thus, it hardly offers any terrain for battle, but it will be necessary to see at what point the peloton reaches this climb, after three days through Euskal Herria that promise to be nervous and hotly contested, and, hopefully, with the forces of the participants still with a lot to offer.

The organization of the Tour estimates, in the fastest time it has foreseen, that the cyclists will reach Nogaro at an average of 47 kilometers per hour, so it does not seem that there will be many moments to catch air in a stage that will serve as a transitionbesides, before the arrival of the first high mountain passes, which await the next day.

EITB going to offer live the race, like every day; in eitb.eusthe broadcast will begin at 2:35 p.m.and in ETB1 at 3:00 p.m.. eitb.eus and ETB1 will share the images of the stage until the end of the day.
