Four days after his contract with the Santos, defender Eduardo Bauermann was announced, this Monday, by Alanyaspor, from Turkey. The player’s bond with the new club is valid for 2 years.
In addition to him, the Turkish team also announced this afternoon striker Carlos Eduardo, formerly of Palmeiras, Athletico-PR and Red Bull Bragantino, and defensive midfielder Richard Coelho, formerly of Cruzeiro and who, like the former Santos defender, was investigated by the Operation Maximum Penalty.
In a presentation ceremony, Eduardo Bauermann said he was happy and motivated with the new challenge.
“I would like to thank our president very much. I am very happy to have come here. I am very motivated. I got to know and followed the Superliga. I am very happy to have this opportunity”, he said.

Recently, Bauermann was punished by the STJD with a suspension of 12 games for engaging in a sports betting scheme. So, in the midst of investigations, Peixe decided to suspend the defender’s contract. Therefore, the athlete has been absent from training with the rest of the squad since May 9.
Bauermann arrived at Alvinegro Praiano in early 2022. Since then, he has added 78 matches and five goals. This year, he entered the field 20 times.
Remember the case of Bauermann
In May, images were released of an alleged conversation between Bauermann and a “matchmaker” via messages. The player would have received 50 thousand reais to force and receive a yellow card in a Santos match against Avai.
The defender, however, did not get the yellow card and promised that he would be expelled in the next match, against Botafogo. He even received a red card, but only after the end of the game and infuriated the participant of the “betting scheme”.
Bauermann was pressured to return the amount, which reached around R$800,000, and even considered transferring a percentage of his economic rights in a future negotiation to leave Santos.
On May 9, Justice accepted the MP-GO complaint against the game manipulation scheme. Already on June 1, the STJD decreed a punishment of 12 games of suspension for the defender.
