The Tour arrives in France this Monday, with Bayonne as the first stop of the 110th edition, after two days of touring the Basque Country (Spain).
The day, which starts from Amorebieta-Etxano, may have a possible mass sprint at the end, with which the leading role passes to the group of sprinters
Spanish, the Tour heads in the direction of France, on Monday in the third stage, with a possible sprint in Bayonne.
The stage is 193.5 kilometers long. The first part without major difficulties for the sprinters, who will have to face three climbs of the third category and one climb of the fourth category until halfway, to then set their teams in control of the peloton.
Coming to Bayonne is the first opportunity for Briton Mark Cavendish to break the record for stage wins on the Tour, which he currently holds equal with Belgian legend Eddy Merckx (34 wins).
But he will have a lot of work to do against cars like the Dutch Fabio Jakobsen and Dylan Groenewegen or the Belgian Jasper Philipsen. (D)
