Moscow “Spartak” refused to buy Brazilian footballer Gabriel Barbosa
Moscow “Spartak” refused to buy Brazilian footballer Gabriel Barboza because of the player’s high salary requirements. It is reported by Metaratings.
According to the portal, Barbosa wants to earn 5.5 million euros per season, excluding bonuses. Brazilian media reports that Flamengo, which the striker is currently representing, is paying him three million euros. At the same time, the highest paid Spartak players receive 2.3-2.7 million euros per season.
It is noted that Spartak is not the only club of the Russian Premier League (RPL) applying for a 26-year-old player, so the likelihood of his career continuing in Russia remains.
Barbosa has made 32 appearances for Flamengo this season, scoring 14 goals. The striker has 16 caps for the Brazilian national team, in which he chalked up five goals.
