For Ecuador, Barcelona Sporting Club (3rd in Copa Libertadores Group C) will clash with Argentina’s Estudiantes de La Plata (2nd in South American Cup Group C); and Emelec (2nd in Group B of the South American Cup) will meet Sporting Cristal from Peru (3rd in Group D of the Copa Libertadores).

Argentina and Brazil dominate, in terms of the number of representatives, in the return match for a place in the round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana, according to the crosses published this Thursday.

A total of 16 teams will face each other to guarantee their presence in the competition, the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) has revealed.

Newly, the competition will face eight seconds of the group stage of the South American and third-placed eight in its key Copa Libertadores.

Thus, by country, Argentina will have four representatives: Estudiantes, Patronato, Tigre and San Lorenzo.
