David Aznar will be the women’s Athletic coach

He Athletic Club announced that the Toledo David Aznar will be the new coach of the rojiblanco team, taking over from Iraia Iturregithat next season will join the coaching staff basconiathe second male subsidiary of the Bilbao entity.
Aznar worked in the men’s youth ranks at Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Leganés, Alcorcón, Rayo Majadahonda and Getafe.
Later he coached the women’s CD Tacón in the 2018-2019 season. Real Madrid was created from this Madrid team and the one from Talavera de la Reina was the first coach in its history.
In his first campaign at the white club, 2020-2021, he was runner-up in the league, thus qualifying for the Champions League.
