In addition to high-level players from the European market, Saudi Arabia is also negotiating with coaches to reinforce its championship. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, José Mourinho would have been another name to receive a proposal.
Despite the interest, the coach would have refused in early June an offer of 30 million euros (about R$ 158 million at current prices) per season to command Al-Hilal.

The negotiation would not have gone ahead due to Mourinho’s desire to continue in the Roma. The commander has been with the team since 2021 and took the Italians out of the title line with the Conference League trophy in 2022.
If he accepted the proposal, the Portuguese would have become the highest paid coach in the world, according to the newspaper Daily Mail. Currently, the first place is with Diego Simeone, who earns 30 million pounds (R$ 183 million) at Atlético de Madrid, but with part of his salary taxed.
With Mourinho discarded, who is in the sights of Al-Hilal is Massimiliano Allegri, coach of Juventus. According to the Sky Sportsthe Italian has already turned down the first offer from the Saudis, around 17 million euros (R$ 104 million).
