The Spanish press already echoes the rivalry between Real Madrid e Barcelona when comparing the numbers of young Brazilian players, Endrick, from palm treesand Vitor Roque, from Athletico-PRin season.
At the age of 16, Endrick has already arranged his transfer to Real Madrid and will head to Spain from June 2024, while Vitor Roque is desired by Barcelona, who should reach an agreement for the 18-year-old striker in the coming weeks.
This Wednesday, the newspaper Mundo Deportivo made a comparison between the “Brazilian talents that will dominate the future” and drew attention to the number of goals scored by Vitor Roque in the season.
“In the individual comparison, Roque (18) is one year older than Endrick (he will be 17 in July), both Brazilians, almost identical in height, with 172 cm and 173 cm, respectively. Roque was born in Timóteo (MG) and Endrick in Taguatinga (DF). The first left Cruzeiro’s youth team to later join Athletico-PR, while Endrick always played for Palmeiras”, wrote the vehicle.
The Athletico-PR striker scored the net this Tuesday, in the victory against Alianza Lima, from Peru, for Libertadores. With the two scored, he reached 14 goals in 28 matches played in the season, in addition to distributing five assists.
The Spanish newspaper highlighted that Vitor Roque scored twice as many goals as Endrick, who scored seven times in 2023. This season, the Palmeiras striker provided a single assist in 27 games.
In the end, Mundo Deportivo raised the statistics of the two athletes in international competitions. Vitor Roque played 13 matches for the Libertadores in his career, scoring five goals and providing two assists. Endrick, on the other hand, only entered the field twice for the competition, with a goal scored.
