UFC fighter Mokaev, who renounced Russian origin, began training in Makhachkala
British mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Muhammad Mokaev said that he had begun preparations for the next fight in Makhachkala. He reported this in Twitter.
“I started a wrestling training camp at the Dynamo club. There are so many young and promising wrestlers here. The announcement of the fight will be soon, ”wrote Mokaev.
On April 4, Mokaev renounced his Russian origin. The 22-year-old athlete asked the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) not to indicate Russia as his birthplace. “I do not like it! Please just leave Dagestan on my next exit,” he said.
Mokaev has been with the UFC since March 2022. In total, he has ten victories and not a single defeat in MMA. Another fight with his participation was declared invalid. Mokaev was born in the city of Buynaksk in the Republic of Dagestan. At the age of 12, he moved with his family to the UK.
