Sergey Pinyaev became the best young player of the RPL according to the coaches and club captains

Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Sergei Pinyaev was named the best young player in the Russian Premier League (RPL) of the 2022/2023 season, according to head coaches and club captains. The vote was held by the “Championship”.

Each of the survey participants named their top five players. As a result of voting, Pinyaev received 90 points. He was ahead of Dynamo forward Konstantin Tyukavin and Spartak midfielder Ruslan Litvinov, who scored 71 points each. Dynamo became the second, as he was often included in the top 3.

Last season, 18-year-old Pinyaev scored three goals and made one assist in 11 matches for Krylya Sovetov, and also scored two goals in nine meetings with Lokomotiv. Portal Transfermarkt estimates his value at 7 million euros.

The new RPL season starts on July 23. The last championship was won by Zenit for the fifth time in a row.
