Brazilian right-back of Real Madrid’s B team denounces racist offense

This Monday, the right winger of team B Real Madrid, Vinicius Tobias, denounced the racist offense he suffered. In his social networks, the Brazilian expressed himself about the case, posting a video of what happened.

“It’s sad to see players going through these types of prejudices. It wasn’t the first time nor the second. This has been happening daily. You can’t imagine how much it hurts. This has to end, it’s already crossed the line. mean nothing. We are all equal and we want respect, and that’s the least”, wrote the athlete.

In the video published by the player, it is possible to see a child shouting “mono”, which in Portuguese means monkey, towards the lateral that was charging lateral. “The saddest thing is when we don’t expect that from a child! A child calling mono”, said Vinicius Tobias.

The case occurred during a return game between Real Madrid’s B team and Eldense, in the dispute for access to the Second Division of the Spanish Championship, which ended in a 4-4 tie, giving Eldense qualification.

This is not the first time that this has happened against Brazilian players from Real Madrid. In the professional team, the striker of the Brazilian National Team Vinicius Junior deals with these situations recurrently.

In an attempt to fight against racism, the Brazilian Football Confederation and the Spanish Federation (RFEF) scheduled a friendly match between Brazil and Spain, which should take place in March 2024, at the Santiago Bernabéu.
