Tarasova called the decision of the Seimas of Lithuania to deprive Drobyazko of citizenship as a madman’s delirium
Honored coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova appreciated the decision of the Lithuanian Seimas to deprive figure skater Margarita Drobyazko of citizenship. Her words are quoted by Sport-Express.
Tarasova called the sanctions the ravings of a madman. She drew attention to the fact that Drobyazko could not find work in Lithuania, and Russia gave her the opportunity to earn money in the show. “Democracy is taking on ugly forms,” the coach emphasized.
Earlier, on June 21, it became known that the Seimas of Lithuania initiated the procedure for depriving Drobyazko of the citizenship of the country. The reason was the participation of the figure skater in the show of the Olympic champion in ice dancing Tatyana Navka. Drobyazko said that she could not influence the situation.
Drobiazko became a Lithuanian citizen in 1993. Together with Povilas Vanagas, she represented the country five times at the Olympic Games in ice dancing. The couple became the bronze medalist of the World Championship.
