The Saudi authorities will pay for the rest of the Argentine striker Lionel Messi in the country. It is reported by The New York Times.

According to the source, the Ministry of Tourism has concluded an agreement with the football player, which should help improve the image of the country in the world. According to the document, Messi must come to Saudi Arabia with his family and post on social networks approved by the local authorities.

It is noted that the Argentine will receive two million dollars for one family vacation per year lasting five days or for two annual holidays lasting three days. Travel and accommodation expenses for Messi and up to 20 members of his family and friends will also be paid by the Saudi Arabian government.

On June 3, the French side Paris Saint-Germain announced the departure of Messi at the end of the 2022/2023 season. The footballer moved to the Major League Soccer club Inter Miami. He turned down an offer from Saudi Al-Hilal with a salary of $300 million a year.

In May, PSG suspended Messi from training for two weeks as punishment for a trip to Saudi Arabia. The athlete went there as a tourism ambassador of an Arab country.
