With Fernandinho’s goal, City defeats West Ham and keeps chasing leaders Chelsea

This Sunday, the Manchester City received West Ham, and won 2-1, in a game valid for the 13th round of the English Championship.

The first goal of the match was scored by Gundogan, 33 minutes into the first half – Mahrez played for the German midfielder, who only had the job of pushing into the back of the net. City expanded at 45 in the second half, with a goal by Fernandinho. In additions, Lanzini scored and discounted for visitors.

The duel was a straight fight at the top of the table. You Citizens returned to second place, with 29 points, and follow behind the leader Chelsea. The London team is in fourth place, with 23 points.

Guardiola’s men will return to the field this Wednesday, when they face Aston Villa, away from home. On the same date, West Ham will face Brighton, in front of their fans.
