Guuk GBC says goodbye to promotion after losing the semifinal against San Pablo Burgos (64-69)

He Guuk Gipuzkoa Basket was left out of the final for promotion to the ACB when they fell in the semifinals against Hereda San Pablo Burgos by 64-69. The San Sebastian team did not hide and put the Burgos team against the ropes for almost 35 minutes.
But in the final stretch, San Pablo managed to turn the score around and secure a victory that leaves them just 40 minutes from being able to achieve the goal of promotion.
A spectacular start by Guuk Gipuzkoa with eleven points in just 3 minutes They forced Curro Segura to call a time-out because his team was being devastated by Lolo Encinas’ men, who without fear of defeat showed their credentials from very early on. The first quarter ended with 21-15 in favor of the people of San Sebastian.
In the second quarter, San Pablo found a way to score and Gipuzkoa was charging with fouls impossible to stop the inside game of San Pablo that lowered the advantage to just one point difference (26-25).
At the break, Guuk GBC won 39-34.
San Pablo left in a hurry to try to get ahead, but the success continued to accompany Gipuzkoa, quite the opposite of Burgos, who missed too many free kicks that would have put the game in their favor.

The people of Burgos managed to close the gap and the last quarter began with 56-51 in favor of Guuk GBC.

With two minutes to play, San Pablo missed two free throws but gave everything in defense to maintain the advantage, with 30 seconds to go they still had the advantage but could not score, with more suffering than expected, Curro’s team maintained the advantage and they got into the final64-69).
