This Saturday, the selection of Portugal received the Bosnia and Herzegovina for the third round of Group J of the Euro Qualifiers and won by 3 to 0. Bernardo Silva was the author of the first Portuguese goal in the final stretch of the first half and Bruno Fernandes closed the account with two goals at the end.
Simultaneously, Belgium faced Austria in Group F and drew 1-1. The Austrians are still in the lead with seven points and the Belgian team is right behind, with four.
With the result, Portugal maintains its invincibility and reaches nine points in three matches and leads Group J. Bosnia, on the other hand, continues with three points and is parked in fourth place in the group.
The next appointment of the selection of Portugal for the Qualifiers of the Euro will be next Tuesday, against Iceland, at 15:45 (Brasília time), away from home. Bosnia also returns to the field on the same day and time against Luxembourg, at home.
The game
Portugal was superior in the first half, had more ball possession, but took a while to create goalscoring chances. Gradually, in the final stretch of the first 45 minutes, the Portuguese team evolved and started to scare more. At 44 minutes, just before the break, Bernardo Silva scored and opened the scoring for the home team.
The second half was warmer and less opportunities, once again. Bosnia scared in the 14th minute after a good aerial play, but it didn’t go much further than that. In this way, Portugal controlled the scoreboard and reached the 31st minute, with Bruno Fernandes headed after a cross by Rúben Neves, and at the 47th minute, once again with the Manchester United midfielder.
