Bellator champion Nemkov says Fedor Emelianenko praised him after Romero fight
Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Vadim Nemkov spoke about the praise from Fedor Emelianenko after the fight against Cuban Yoel Romero. His words are reported by Metaratings.
“After the fight, Fedor Emelianenko said that everything was great,” he shared. The athlete added that he wanted to finish the fight ahead of schedule, but “victory is victory.”
The fight took place on June 17 in Chicago and lasted all five rounds. The fight ended with the victory of the Russian by unanimous decision of the judges. Thus, the 30-year-old Nemkov defended the Bellator light heavyweight title, which he has held since August 2020.
In total, Nemkov has 17 wins with two defeats in mixed martial arts. Another fight with his participation was declared invalid.
