UFC says it’s gathering more information about McGregor’s indictment

Representatives of the Absolute Fighting Champion (UFC) commented on the rape charge against Irish fighter Conor McGregor. The statement of the organization leads Sportskeeda.

“The organization is aware of the recent allegations against Conor McGregor and will continue to gather additional information about this incident,” the promotion said. The UFC noted that they will wait until the end of the proceedings before making any additional statements.

On June 15, TMZ reported that McGregor was charged with raping a woman during Game 4 of the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals. The victim’s lawyer said that the Irishman committed violent acts in the men’s room.

McGregor is a former UFC Lightweight and Featherweight Champion. In total, the Irishman has 28 fights in which he won 22 victories and suffered six defeats.
