Fighter Conor McGregor called the fight with the Miami mascot at the NBA match a parody and part of the show
Irish mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Conor McGregor spoke about the fight with the Miami Heat mascot at the National Basketball Association (NBA) game. His words are quoted by TMZ.
McGregor called the incident part of the show. “It was a parody, and that’s okay. After that, I spent a lot of time with him, we discussed everything, everything is fine, ”he added.
On June 11, the Irishman was involved in a staged mascot brawl during Game 4 of the NBA Finals. He struck two blows, after which the Miami employee was forced to be hospitalized. Fans in the stands booed McGregor. President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Dana White called the fight not the smartest idea.
McGregor is a former UFC Lightweight and Featherweight Champion. In total, the Irishman spent 28 fights, in which he won 22 victories and suffered six defeats.
