This Thursday, the Arbitration Commission of the CBF will host the FIFA-CBF Seminar on Tactical Football Analysis for Referees. It is the first time that a confederation like the CBF holds the event in partnership with football’s highest body.
All arbitration professionals on the Brazilian team, a number close to 800, will be able to attend the class online, from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm (Brasília time).
To deliver the seminar, the FIFA chose the Italian instructors Gianvito Piglionica and Cristiano Ciardelli. The main goal of the class is to help referees better understand football and thus improve their movement on the field of play to reach better decision-making.
“Tactical analysis of a football game is already part of the routine of modern referees. All elite referees already work on this part for prior recognition of how the teams play, as well as the individual characteristics of each player. This is to anticipate your positioning and having an excellent reading of the game”, said Wilson Seneme, president of the CBF Arbitration Commission.
“Giving tactical knowledge to all referees on the national team, through this course, meets our quest for the development of Brazilian arbitration, which is a priority of President Ednaldo Rodrigues’ management. To provide that Brazilian referees can evolve and learn how to prepare for games, including understanding the game, no matter what division it’s refereeing in.”
