Ex-coach of Spartak Gunko said that salaries in the Armenian championship are incommensurable with the RPL
Former Spartak Moscow coach Dmitry Gunko, head of Urartu Yerevan, compared salaries in the Russian Premier League (RPL) and the Armenian championship. It is reported by “Sport-Express”.
According to the specialist, the income of players in the elite Russian division is incommensurably higher. “Perhaps in Armenia they are the same as in the lower half of the first league table,” Gunko said.
The ex-mentor of the red-whites also spoke about the bonuses for winning the Armenian championship. “They are the same as in the first team of Spartak for one victory,” Gunko said.
The coach worked in the Spartak system from 2008 to 2020. He led the second and youth teams of Muscovites, several times was the acting head coach of the first team. The specialist has been working in Urartu since June last year.
