Russian swimmer Kirpichnikova announced her desire to bring medals to France
European short course swimming champion Anastasia Kirpichnikova shared her emotions from joining the French national team. It is reported by RMC Sport.
The Russian woman noted that she wants to bring as many medals to the new team as possible. “Now it has become easier for me to train, because I have the motivation to play at the World Cup for France. France is my second country, my home, ”said Kirpichnikova.
The change of Kirpichnikova’s sports citizenship became known on April 21. She has been training in France for five years. The swimmer has a chance to take part in the 2023 World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games as part of the European team.
22-year-old Kirpichnikova is a three-time European short course swimming champion as part of the Russian national team. She also has a World Championship silver medal to her credit.
