The President of CONMEBOL, Alejandro Domínguez, published on his Twitter this Monday an art of Lionel Messi next to the Cup of liberators. The Paraguayan leader took the opportunity to invite the Argentine.
“Leo Messi, Conmebol Libertadores is always waiting for you”, commented Domínguez in the publication.

The Argentine star is at the end of his contract with Paris Saint Germain, who has already announced that he will not renew with Messi. The future of last year’s world champion star is up in the air and clubs such as Barcelona, Al-Hilal and Inter Miami have emerged as favorites to sign the 35-year-old.
However, South American football still dreams of having Messi back on the continent. The Argentine was revealed by Newell’s Old Boys, but left the club very young, aged 13, and went to play in Barcelona’s academy. The official debut in the professional team of the Catalan team came four years later, in 2004, against Espanyol.
In March, Messi was present at the Libertadores and Sudamericana draws and was honored by Alejandro Domínguez, who took advantage of the situation to make a relaxed invitation to the player.
“You already have these cups, what you’re missing is the Libertadores”, joked the president of Conmebol when referring to the conquests of the World Cup, Finalissima and Copa America by Argentina.
