CSKA basketball player Alexei Shved said that the recovery after the beating is going well
The defender of the basketball club CSKA Alexei Shved spoke about the state of health after the beating. His words are quoted by Match TV.
The Swede shared that he feels much better, recovery is going well. “But the situation itself is terrible, it should not happen that in the center of Moscow some incomprehensible guys behave like this. I don’t know what was in their head. It’s good that it happened the way it is now. It could be much worse,” he said.
On May 5, four people suspected of beating a basketball player were arrested in Moscow. They were sent to a pre-trial detention center until July 2. The defendants were charged under Part 2 of Article 213 (“Hooliganism committed by a group of persons with the use of violence against citizens”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The attack on Shved became known on May 2. As a result of a fight at the entrance to a restaurant in the center of Moscow, the basketball player received a head injury. At the hospital, he was also diagnosed with retrograde amnesia, a fracture of the temporal bone, and an epidural hematoma.
