With 31 points on the scale, Independiente del Valle is out of reach of their rivals with two dates to gowith which he emerges as the winner of the first stage and secures a place in the final, and also seals the ticket for the group stage of the Copa Libertadores.
The outcome of the Clásico del Astillero, a 3-1 win for Emelec, closed Barcelona SC’s chances of fighting on the stage as the Toreadors were left with 23 points, in third place. The second is Liga de Quito (24), but its point threshold is imitated at 30 units until the end.
