The Russian Premier League (RPL) named the best goalkeeper of the 2022/2023 season. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
This title was awarded to 37-year-old CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev. He played 29 matches for the army team in the Russian championship, in 11 of which he did not miss a single ball. The award was presented as part of the first annual ceremony “Winline Heroes of the RPL”. Akinfeev also won the “Best Assist of the Season” nomination for an assist made in a match against Sochi in the second round.
The award for the best forward of the season was awarded to Zenit forward Malcolm, Douglas Santos, also representing blue-white-blue, won in the Defender of the Season nomination, Krasnodar player Eduard Spertsyan was named the best midfielder.
Among the coaches, journalists and fans singled out Stanislav Cherchesov, who heads the Hungarian Ferencvaros. He received the award for the best specialist working abroad.
