The NHL will not investigate the incident with a drunk girl in the room of striker Nichushkin
Deputy Commissioner of the National Hockey League (NHL) Bill Daley made a statement about the incident with a drunk girl in the room of the Russian striker of the Colorado Avalanche Valery Nichushkin. His words lead The Denver Post.
Daley said the league would not investigate the situation. “We know exactly what happened there, and we believe that Colorado responded to the episode properly,” he stressed and added that Nichushkin could continue playing in the NHL.
On June 2, the Seattle Police Department released a video from the hotel where the incident involving Nichushkin allegedly took place. On April 28, The Denver Post reported that a girl was found in the hockey player’s hotel room in a state of extreme intoxication. She called herself Russian, but said that she was born in Ukraine. It was noted that there was no criminal investigation.
On April 25, Nichushkin left the location of the Colorado due to an “alcohol incident.” Later, the team denied this information.
