The Athletic has included three Russian players in the top most lucrative contracts of the 2022/2023 season in the National Hockey League (NHL). The list is available on the publication’s website.

The rating was based on the price-quality ratio among all teams in the league for the season. The list includes 28-year-old San Jose Sharks forward Alexander Barabanov, who receives a salary of $ 2.5 million a year.
