The European country is going through the fifth wave of coronavirus. The measure will be applied from December 1 to access all sports venues.
Portugal will demand submit a COVID-19 test with negative result to access the football stadiums and other sports venues to all attendees, including those vaccinated, as of December 1.
The The measure was announced this Thursday by Prime Minister António Costa, and will be applied in all matches, also on the last day of the group stage of the Champions League.
On December 7, Porto host Atlético de Madrid, and on December 8, Benfica plays in Lisbon with Dinamo Kiev.
The Test requirement will also apply to the derby between Benfica and Sporting, which promises to fill the Estadio da Luz (about 65,000 spectators) on Friday, December 3.
Despite the new measures, the capacity of the stadiums will not be limited.
