It became known about the plans of the Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Alexander Emelianenko for the next fight. This was announced by the promoter Vladimir Khryunov RIA Novosti.
“We are planning our next fight against Jeff Monson at the end of August in Ufa. There were meetings with him and talks about intentions,” Khryunov said.
The fighters already met in February 2022 in a fight according to the rules of fisticuffs. Then Emelianenko turned out to be stronger. Earlier in 2012, in a duel according to the rules of mixed martial arts (MMA), Monson won by choke.
The 41-year-old Emelianenko has 40 fights in MMA, in which he won 29 victories and suffered ten defeats. Another fight with his participation ended in a draw. 52-year-old Monson is known for his performances in MMA and grappling. He has 60 wins and 26 losses in mixed martial arts.
