Defender Mouctar Diakhaby, from Valenciarefused to participate in the photo uniting the two casts for the anti-racist campaign of The league before the duel against Mallorca, this Thursday. The French athlete of Guinean descent was seen walking behind the players who were posing for the photo.
The “Racists, out of football” campaign is carried out by the Higher Sports Council of Spain, in partnership with La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
Valencia’s Mouctar Diakhaby refused to stand behind LaLiga’s new anti-racism banner that reads “Racists, get out of football”, before their match this evening.

Mouctar Diakhaby has already gone through a situation similar to that of Vinícius Jr. in 2021, when he reported hearing racist offenses during a match against Cádiz. The case had no punishments or consequences due to lack of evidence.
After the episode with Vinícius Jr. last Sunday in a match against Valencia, Diakhaby showed solidarity with the Brazilian on his social networks and demanded punishment for the racists.
“I support Vinícius against the racist insults he received from some fans. And I hope that my club will do everything necessary to strongly punish those who committed these acts. To say nothing is to be an accomplice”, published the defender.
