Russian midfielder of Crvena Zvezda Yegor Prutsev received Serbian citizenship
The Russian footballer of the Belgrade “Crvena Zvezda” Yegor Prutsev issued Serbian citizenship. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“Yegor Prutsev received Serbian citizenship, the club helped him in this,” said Zvezdan Terzic, general director of Crvena Zvezda.
Prutsev, 20, joined Red Star in August 2022. His contract with the team runs until June 2026. Previously, he played for Sochi, Neftekhimik and Tekstilshchik. Prutsev also played two games as part of the Russian youth team.
On May 16, his father, Igor Prutsev, spoke about the player’s desire to obtain Serbian citizenship. “There is an interest in obtaining Serbian citizenship to play in the conditions of the Serbian championship, in which there is a strict limit on foreign players,” he said.
