The under-13 team from Palmeiras was defeated by 2-1 by Zenit St.Petersburg, this Sunday, in the final of the LD Burchalkin Cup, competition held in the city of Saint Petersburg, Russia. The alviverde team’s goal in the decision was scored by striker Pedro Morelli, top scorer for the Palestinian team with four goals and elected the best player of the tournament.
In addition to Verdão, Santos, Estrela Vermelha (Serbia), Besiktas (Turkey), Almaz-Antey (Russia), CSKA Moscow (Russia), Krasnodar (Russia) and Zenit St.Petersburg participated in the tournament. The Crias da Academia played three matches in the league, with two wins and one defeat, with eight goals scored and four conceded.
Palmeiras under-13 team already has a title won in the season. In early May, the Alviverde team won the Integration Cup, defeating Flamengo in the final, on penalties, after a 1-1 draw in normal time.
