the dutch Lorraine Wiebes (SD Word) is the first leader of the Vuelta a Burgos feminine after beating the sprint in the opening stage, in Medina de Pomar.
Wiebes, European champion, beat the Italian champion, the Trek runner, at the finish line Elisa Balsamoand the American Chloe Dygert.
The ‘Burgos de las Oportunidades’ stage, the first of the 2023 women’s Vuelta a Burgos, began in Quintanaortuño with 127 runners.
