It is set against a background pattern consisting of a multi-colored repetition of the number 26, referring to the year of the tournament. It is noted that in the near future the logos of each of the 16 cities of the United States, Canada and Mexico, which will host the World Cup matches, will also be presented.
Earlier, FIFA approved a new format for the World Cup. For the first time, 48 teams will take part in the tournament, which will be divided into 12 groups of four teams each.
Argentina is the reigning world champion. In the final, the team defeated France in a penalty shoot-out. The title of the best football player of the World Cup was given to the Argentine captain Lionel Messi.
