Brentford forward Ivan Tawney banned from football for eight months for betting

Brentford striker Ivan Tawney has been suspended from football for betting. This was reported on the official website of the Football Association of England (FA).

Tawney admitted 232 violations of the FA’s betting rules. The player’s suspension will last eight months and end on January 16, 2024. From September 17, 2023, he will be able to start training with the team. The forward will also pay a fine of 50 thousand pounds (62.5 thousand dollars).

Tawney, 27, is among the top three scorers of the 2022/2023 season in the English Premier League (EPL). He played 33 matches, scoring 20 goals and giving 4 assists.
