CSKA basketball player Alexei Shved announced the continuation of his career next season

The defender of the basketball club CSKA Alexei Shved spoke about the continuation of his playing career. His words are quoted by TASS.

The athlete came to the fifth match of the series for the third place in the VTB United League playoffs between CSKA and Zenit and said that he would continue to play on the floor. “I feel fine. As a player on the floor, I will return next season,” he stressed.

On May 5, a court in Moscow arrested four suspects in beating a basketball player. Knyaz Amirslanov, 20, his brother Ramzin, 17, and their driver, Yusuf, and Pisarev, 19, were sent to a pre-trial detention center until July 2. The defendants were charged under Part 2 of Article 213 (“Hooliganism committed by a group of persons with the use of violence against citizens”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The attack on Shved became known on May 2. As a result of a fight at the entrance to a restaurant in the center of Moscow, the basketball player received a head injury. At the hospital, he was also diagnosed with retrograde amnesia, a fracture of the temporal bone, and an epidural hematoma.
