Tyson Fury says Usyk refused to fight him because of a fee in Saudi Arabia
British heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury has accused Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk of being greedy. His words are quoted by Boxing Social.
“A lot of things are happening in Saudi Arabia, crazy money is being discussed. I think the temptation to earn 100 or 75 million dollars got the better of Usyk, and he refused to fight right now, ”said the athlete. Fury added that one day the fight with the Ukrainian will take place, and he will celebrate the victory in London.
Fury and Usyk were supposed to meet on April 29, negotiations have been going on since the fall of 2022. On March 22, the manager of the Ukrainian Egis Klimas announced the cancellation of the fight. It is noted that the athletes could not agree on the distribution of fees.
