Gil Vicente beats Boavista and ends a streak of eight games without a win for the Portuguese

This Friday, Gil Vicente beat Boavista by 3-1, for the 32nd round of the Portuguese Championship and resumed the winning path after eight games. At Estádio Cidade de Barcelos, Fran Navarro (twice) and Murilo Souza scored for the home team, while Sebástian Pérez dropped the ball.

With the result, Gil Vicente reaches 34 points and is in 14th position, 11 points away from 16th place. Boavista remains in 10th place, with 40 points.

Boavista returns to the field on Saturday, May 20, at 2 pm (Brasília time), against Braga, at 2 pm (Brasília time), at home. Gil Vicente faces Vitória de Guimarães, away from home, at 11:30 am.

Fran Navarro opened the scoring for the home team in the 38th minute of the first half. Pérez, on the other hand, left everything equal to the 10 in the second. Nine minutes later, Navarro scored again and put Gil Vicente in front. Finally, at 40 minutes, Murilo Costa took the penalty and closed the scoring.
