Thomas Muller posts photo with horse and mocks Bayern exit rumors

German striker Thomas Muller of Bayern Munchenpublished on social media this Wednesday a photo next to his horse mocking speculation in the German press that he would be leaving the Bavarian club.

“If you could read the newspaper, King D’Avie…”, wrote the player. Muller also included in his text the emoji of a monkey covering his eyes and three hashtags, including one that says “only Bayern”.

In its Wednesday edition, the newspaper sports picture wrote that, due to his “situation with coach Thomas Tuchel”, who “trusts other players, not him”, the striker is thinking of a Bayern farewell to “prove his worth at a club that is chasing titles”.

After passing through the youth team at TSV Pähl from 1993 to 2000, Muller grew up in the Bayern academy before signing his first professional contract with the club in February 2009. His current contract runs until 2024.

With the Bavarian giant, there are two European Champions League titles (2013 and 2020), 11 German Championship titles (2010 and 2013 to 2022) and six German Cup titles (2010, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2019 and 2020).

Ahead of the 2022 World Cup, Muller suffered an injury and lost space in Bayern’s starting lineup. Of the first nine games under Tuchel, who took over the team at the end of March, the striker was on the bench in four.
