15-year-old figure skater-record holder described the competition in the Tutberidze group

Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva, in an interview with the Get Sports YouTube channel, spoke about training in the Eteri Tutberidze group.

The 15-year-old said there is always competition in the group as other skaters progress day by day. “So, we still need to do it, everyone is constantly working. There is no such thing that, here, you need to rest. You cannot rest because you see that everyone else is working, ”Valieva described the situation.

At the second stage of the Canadian Grand Prix series, the skater set two world records: in the free program and in total points in women’s single skating. She won the tournament with 180.89 points for the free skate and a total of 265.08 points.

Valieva is the silver medalist of the Russian adult championship in 2021. In addition, she is the winner of the World Junior Championship (2020) and the final of the Junior Grand Prix (season 2019/2020).
