Between 40% and 50% of technical high school students would have joined the presence, according to the teachers’ union

The second group, who will return in two weeks, will be subject to the fact that in each canton at least 85% of the vaccination rate has been reached in the population between 12 and 17 years of age.

The official added that the number of students per classroom, that ranges between 30, 35, 40, will be maintained and there will be no differentiated entry and exit due to the complication of the arrival of the students.

For the Teachers Network, Although it is premature to comment on the pros and cons of the return, its deputy coordinator Nelly Miño expressed that the lack of planning is evident from the ministry, undersecretary and districts, in the sense that they do not start from a brief diagnosis of the priority needs presented by schools.

“There are institutions with infrastructure problems, ceilings, toilets, broken glass, etc. Parents, “despite the prohibition”, have had to meet many needs of schools and colleges for the acquisition of biosafety materials, infrastructure arrangements; in other cases the parents refuse to contribute, the institutional directors are under pressure to solve the problem, ”said Pazmiño.
