Napoli’s top scorer undergoes surgery on his face and will be absent for three months

O Naples reported, on Tuesday, that Victor Osimhen underwent surgery on his face and will leave the team for about three months.

The Nigerian attacker performed “surgery to reduce and contain multi-fragmentary and dislocated fractures of the malar bone, zygomatic arch and wrist, pavement and lateral wall of the orbit and diastasis of the frontozygomatic suture. The synthesis of the bone pillars was made with titanium plates and screws”.

“The player is doing well and will be under observation for a few days. The prognosis is estimated at around 90 days”, the club added in a statement.

The 22-year-old collided with Milan Skriniar during his loss to the Inter Milan, by 3 a 2, last Sunday, for the 13th round of the A league. This season, the center forward has played 14 games, scoring nine goals and two assists, and leads the list of top scorers in the Neapolitan team.
